Furious is an upcoming Vietnamese action thriller film directed, and co-written by veteran actress Veronica Ngo.
A prequel to the 2019 Vietnamese hit Furie, Ngo’s prequel set in the world of 90s Vietnam “will feature stunning stunt choreography and cinematography that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.” The Furies could be some of the best Asian filmmaking we’ll see on Netflix in 2023.
When is the Netflix release date?
We can confirm that Furies will be released globally and exclusively on Netflix on Tuesday, March 23, 2023.
The feature will previously premiere in the US at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 12, 2023.
What is the plot of the Furies?

A thrilling tale of justice and revenge against the dynamic backdrop of 1990s Saigon.
The film tells the story of Bi, Thana and Hong, three fierce and angry vigilantes who team up to take down a nefarious crime syndicate headed by the villainous crime lord Hai. Veronica will return to reprise the role of Ngo Hai Phuong. Netflix subscribers who have seen the superhero action film The Old Guard will recognize Ngo as Quynh. He has also starred in other Netflix films such as Bright, Da 5 Bloods, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny.

Dong An Kwina had something to say about her role as Bi.
“Never in my life have I had to train so physically for a role. Mentally, I challenged myself to empathize with the anti-hero and the mentally burdened character that is Bi, so that she could be on screen. But it can be revived in the best possible way.”
Toc Tien had the following to say about his relationship with his character Thanh.
“Than is the eldest, always looking out for her ‘sisters’ even though they are not blood siblings. Thana protects them silently with actions, not words. I find it easy to sympathize with Thana because the character Many of his personalities are similar to mine.”
